HOUSE OF EUROPE IN WARMIA AND MAZURY
— European Solidarity Corps Volunteering Opportunity in Poland —

Are you interested in cultural animation and European cooperation?
Would you like to work in a cultural institution?

Hosting Organisation

The House of Europe in Warmia and Mazury (formerly known as the Polish-French
Centre in Olsztyn is a cultural institution established in 1993 by two partner regions: the
Côtes d’Armor department (Brittany, France) and the Warmia-Mazury Voivodeship
(north-eastern Poland).

As of March 14, 2026, the institution operates under a new name – House of Europe in
Warmia and Mazury – marking a new stage in its development and a broader openness
to European cooperation. We connect people, cultures, and ideas, supporting the
development of the cultural environment and building international relationships. We
create a space for meetings and dialogue, where Europe is closer than you think.

Located in the heart of city of Olsztyn, the institution focuses on language education
(including French), the promotion of European cultures, and the organization of cultural,
educational, and social events for a wide audience.

The House of Europe offers a library, a reading room, an exhibition space, and
classrooms. It also supports the implementation of European cooperation projects
(Erasmus+) carried out by partner institutions and organizations across Europe.

Olsztyn

Olsztyn is the largest city in the region (170,000 inhabitants, including 25,000 students
of the University of Warmia and Mazury) and the capital of the Warmia-Mazury
Voivodeship, located in north-eastern Poland (200 km from Warsaw and 160 km from
the Baltic Sea).

The city’s greatest asset is its unique location among lakes and forests. The entire region
